Know Before You Go Mobile App Equips Foster Youth for Adulthood

Alliance for Children's Rights and Children's Law Center of California

The Alliance for Children’s Rights and the Children’s Law Center of California created a new mobile app called Know Before You Go (B4UGO) to combat the problem foster youth face of leaving the foster care system without the resources to succeed into adulthood. The app gives foster youth a new lifeline of over 600 resources, such as finding emergency shelters, getting health insurance, enrolling in a career and technical education programs, searching for housing, locating food banks, and more. B4UGO also serves as a valuable tool for social workers, advocates and providers who work with youth every day. To learn more about the app, download the app on the iTunes store or on Google play.
