Reunited After Foster Care

George & Tony

"That's how we got reunited with our brothers. Who I am as a person––how we became independent––a lot of it is due to the concepts and things we learned at Peace4Kids." - George & Tony

Hear the story of brotherhood, family, perseverance and accomplishment from George & Tony, two brothers from Compton, California who were separated as young children in the foster care system and now are reunited. They only got to see each other once a week through community nonprofit, Peace4Kids, but it was there they got a chance to bond. Today, George and Tony are pursuing degrees and careers, and it was in part to advocacy work that George started, in which Assembly Bill 12 passed and extended foster care services to the age of 21.
